LAMSA HOUSE

Many of our players are orphans or come from families unable to properly care for them. Near the football field where we play, we have rented and renovated a house where 18 players live, significantly improving the living conditions for both coaches and players within the community.

By providing suitable accommodation facilities, the project aims to enhance the overall experience and performance of both coaches and players.

The goal is to offer a safe space where our players can receive education, proper nutrition, and feel at home. The children can store their belongings, eat meals, and watch football matches on television.

Volunteers also stay at LAMSA House, allowing both parties to experience new cultures and share moments in an organic and genuine way.

OUR NEW HOME

The education of the children is our priority

That’s why all our players must attend school in order to be part of LAMSA

We are committed to ensuring our players have access to education

MEDICAL SUPPORT

We provide free medical insurance for all our players to ensure their health and well-being

One of our priorities is to ensure the good health of our players. That's why we are also committed to covering medical expenses. Children are susceptible to illnesses, which is a major concern for their families. We continuously invest in medications and medical supplies to treat injuries and fund treatments for conditions such as malaria and typhoid fever, among others.

HEALTH COMES FIRST

TRO-TRO

LAMSA has made an investment in purchasing a tro tro, a type of minibus commonly used in Ghana for public transportation. Tro tros are essential vehicles in the country, transporting passengers along established routes and providing accessible and affordable transport for the population.

With this acquisition, we aim to make the academy more economically self-sustaining. The tro tro will generate stable income to cover our monthly fixed costs, ensuring the continuity of the project. Additionally, it will be used to transport our players to league matches, tournaments, and friendlies played outside Buduburam, reducing our monthly expenses.

This initiative not only contributes to the economic sustainability of LAMSA but also creates job opportunities for the families of our players, enhancing the positive impact of the academy in the community. With this step, we are establishing a more sustainable model that ensures the long-term growth and development of the project.

NEW FOOTBALL FIELD

Each year, we make significant improvements to the football field by leveling the surface and repairing the goals.

Previously, the uneven terrain had posed challenges for the players, affecting their performance and increasing the risk of injuries. By leveling the field, we have created a smooth and even surface, allowing for better ball control and maneuverability.

Our players and staff are involved in the process, removing stones and waste once a month. The improved football field has become a hub of excitement and is now one of the area's key venues, having hosted several tournaments.

One of our goals for the next season is to add natural grass to our playing surface to take LAMSA to the next level.

CANDID SCHOOL

At LAMSA, we closely collaborate with a local school called Candid School. We work to provide school supplies to all its students and improve the conditions of its facilities.

The school's roofs have been repaired to prevent water leaks during rain, ensuring that classes can proceed normally. Additionally, during our volunteers' stay in Buduburam, one of the key activities is to teach language, mathematics, and other subjects, contributing to the academic and personal development of the students.

COMMUNITY PROJECTS

HARMONY DISAbILITY CENTER

The Harmony Disability Center is a children's disability center with a mission to offer its students a future where they can, within their possibilities, become self-sufficient. However, the lack of resources and the limited training of the volunteer staff hinder the development of these children.

For this reason, LAMSA collaborates with the center by providing essential equipment and, most importantly, sending volunteers with specialized training. These volunteers share their knowledge with the center's staff, thus improving the quality of care and support provided to the students.

COMMUNITY PROJECTS

other activities

We also organize additional activities such as post-training birthday celebrations, tutoring sessions, visits to the swimming pool, and the LAMSA Awards at the end of each season. We want the children to enjoy their childhood and create a pleasant environment to strengthen friendships and community bonds with the academy.

In addition to the volunteer work we do, which benefits various local businesses, we conduct a range of activities where the children are the focus. One such activity is cleaning up litter from the streets of Buduburam, one of the community's major challenges. We have also organized various football tournaments with academies in the region.
